Apartment Workouts
April 23, 2015
We know – the apartment seems a little small to be doing aerobics and doesn’t fit a treadmill. Plus, you don’t want to be that upstairs neighbor jumping all over the place exercising causing your downstairs neighbor’s dog to yap constantly during a workout. There are ways around the hassle of apartment workouts when you don’t have a gym membership.
Our Exercise Facilities
All McKenzie Apartment complexes have workout rooms with updated, state-of-the-art equipment to get you the cardio and strength training you need. They are accessible anytime. There are also free weights in the rooms and a television so you don’t miss any of your favorite shows while you run miles and miles.
Your Own Facility
There are ways to utilize your own apartment and stay quiet while building up your strength and cardio health!
* Up-Down Plank: drop to your plank and drop your right arm then left arm to your elbows, then do that backwards so you are “walking” your plank. Do this ten times keeping your core tight.
* Toe-Touch Crunch: Lie on your back and place your arms behind you straight out from your head. Lift your legs and arms towards each other so they meet in the middle, keeping you head up off the matt and core tight. Repeat this 20 times.
* Squat: Feet shoulder width apart, arms straight out, back straight, lower yourself slowly and keep your back arched. Make sure your weight is on your heels. Keep your core tight, stand back up straight. Do this 20 times.
There are more quiet exercise routines for the apartment that when done daily, you will see a huge difference and be healthy!
