- Do not rely on floaties or any other inflatable to keep you or your children safe
- Keep children away from pool drains, pipes and other openings to avoid entrapments
- Have a portable telephone close by at all times when you or your family are using a pool
- No running on the pool deck. This could lead to someone slipping and falling into the pool.
- Learn to perform CPR on children and adults, and update those skills regularly
- Understand the basics of life-saving so that you can assist in a pool emergency
- Ensure any pool you use has compliant drain covers
- Do not wear loose clothing as it could become tangled around your body and cause you to lose the ability to stay afloat
- No glass should be used around the pool. If it breaks, it can cause serious injuries
- Obey all “No Diving” signs. The pool is considered too shallow for diving.
- Drinking and swimming is just as dangerous as drinking and driving. Stay sober at the pool!
There are four pools within the McKenzie properties. We encourage everyone to follow those basic rules, as well as the rules that we put out for our residents. We enforce these rules to ensure that everyone has a good, safe time at the pool. If you see someone not following the rules or being unsafe, please inform your Property Manager.
